2017 – 2018. Electrical/Electronic Engineer on Board. Modular Rig Latina 01.

Responsibilities: Predictive / corrective electrical maintenance of motors used in drilling. Predictive / corrective electronic maintenance of sensors. Compliance with the daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual maintenance program. Writing reports about the status of equipment. Maintenance to air conditioners. Attention to gas and fire alarms. Resolving of arising software issues: service interruptions and communication losses.

Review of electrical and electronic maintenance routines that are loaded in SAP. Provision, for the service companies coming to the rig, of access points for their equipment (110 Vac, 220 Vac, and 480 Vac). Installation of Gaitronics equipment required by service companies coming to the rig. Electrical maintenance that includes measuring resistance, insulation and motors current (use of multimeter, amperemeter and megger).

Key Contributions: I increased the resting time of the day staff, by resolving during the night situations that in my absence would have required calling the day staff.

2015 – 2016. Control Systems Reliability. Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.

Responsibilities: To systematically follow-up repetitive and common faults to reduce their incidence. To channel to CP Latina rigs the corrections and improvements in the electrical and electronic systems proposed by manufacturers.

Key Contributions: Compilation in a procedure of the best practices proposed by NOV Company because of the failures that had been present on board in their system, to avoid the solution to be almost always the same that had been being implemented (SBC cards replacement).

Work with the manufacturer of the alarms system (PAGA) to correct a problem which had been present on board for some time.

Implementation of the preventive review of the ABB equipment on board through ABB company personnel.

Management was proposed a training matrix to increase the skills of onboard personnel.

2006 – 2015. Baker Hughes, Wireline Services. Working in the following positions:

2013 – 2015. Assembly, Maintenance and Overhaul Engineer, Grade IV. Poza Rica, Mexico.

Responsibilities: Testing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of electronic and electromechanical equipment. Comprehensive analysis of failures and preparation of documentation to define the work. Management of inventory levels to meet the Repair & Maintenance requirements and minimize workflow interruptions. Practical comprehensive training and tutoring to engineers and technicians in the repair and maintenance policies and procedures. Evaluation of the skills of engineers and technicians to determine the training needs and promote the objectives of the organization.

Key Contributions: I provided technical support to rework, repair and modify non-compliant equipment; I supported affiliated laboratories based in Reynosa, Mexicali and Paraíso (Mexico), and provided remote assistance to laboratories in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) and Luanda (Angola). I developed an SAP training manual. I updated policies, procedures and best practices to achieve ISO and OSHAS certifications of electromechanical laboratories.

2010 – 2012. Repair and Maintenance Engineer, Grade III. Poza Rica and Reynosa, Mexico.

Responsibilities: Testing, maintenance and repair of a greater range of electronic and electromechanical equipment than those required for an R&M Engineer Grade II. Coordination and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Complete analysis of failures and preparation of documentation to define the completed work.

Key Contributions: Co-facilitation of a two-week maintenance training for an advanced logging tool-based on magnetic resonance-in Grand Prairie, TX. Proposed improvements in the internal documentation of an advanced logging tool, which were accepted by the Company's engineering headquarters in Houston, TX.
